History

Founded in 1899 by the sociologist Edmond Demolins, Ecole des Roches is an exclusive co-educational day and boarding school located in the small town of Verneuil-sur-Avre, surrounded by Normandy country-side in France. We welcome students aged 6 to 18 years to our Primary, Secondary and High Schools, and also to our renowned language programmes.

Location
Ecole des Roches’ boarding school is located on a 150-acres campus in Normandy, 115 km from Paris, 110 km from the sea and 3 km from the pretty little town of Verneuil-sur-Avre.

The picturesque location near Paris offers the students the opportunity for many excursions to discover the local cultural heritage; such as Deauville and the D-Day beaches, Mont-Saint-Michel, Chartres and its cathedral and the Loire Valley. Further cultural trips further afield include visits to Paris many historical monuments and museums.
